About Dr. Hynes

Dr. John Hynes has been a practicing veterinarian in the NY/NJ area since 1991. He received his B.S. from Cornell University, and his veterinary degree from Mississippi State University. He is an active animal advocate, and is currently lobbying for passage of INTRO 389, which would eliminate the use of wild animals in performances (e.g. circuses) in New York City. Dr. Hynes is also an active member of the Humane Society of the U.S., People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the Humane Farming Association, and the Staten Island Representative for the NY League of Humane Voters

Dr. Hynes practices general medicine and surgery at The Clinic at Country Estate, Greenwich Village Animal Hospital, and South Shore Animal Hospital.
